Around the age of 16-17 many students want to read some of the well-known classics that they have heard of. All the books on this page are relatively short and quite easy to read. Since I want my learners to understand more than just the plot line of these novels, I have prepared some guided projects for these books. I usually prefer more open reading tasks, but in this case a bit of information about the historical or socio-cultural background will deepen the understanding of these famous novels. The project materials also focus on the symbolism in these novels. If you have been in one of my seminars you will certainly remember the password for the project materials. |
